His first dream was to be a serious singer and songwriter. Still, after blowing up the Vines app ten years ago and becoming a top content creator for more than three years, he decided and discovered a passion for entertainment. Kennedy has accumulated fans worldwide, with 12 million followers on TikTok and Instagram in total. From 2.5 million followers on Vine, he now has 200 million views on his YouTube account. Comedy became a more central passion for the artist after his worldwide success.
Kennedy was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, and attended college at Oklahoma State University. He initially pursued a singing career after a singing competition in his hometown, to which he was well-received. In 2011, at 19, Trey started performing pop and rhythm blues. But as he entered college, he and his friends made viral TikTok skits that got them to stardom. Before Kennedy knew it, he was asked for pictures in fast-food restaurants. His dream of becoming a professional singer was put on hold. Although he had released an EP titled “Take Me To The River” along with several other singles, his comedy career took full flight after taking entertainment seriously. He continued studying business in his career and slowly incorporated the skill to develop and rebrand his side hustle of making money from videos. Toward the end of his studies, making videos, monetizing them, and working with brands became more interesting than working in finance. In 2017, he constantly collaborated with John Crist and joined in several of his 2018 tour dates. Kennedy finally had his tour in 2021, where he performed at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet.
Trey is creating content and podcasts across his social media while traveling the road performing for sold-out crowds everywhere.
