Chestnuts, snowflakes (well… maybe not here in PHX), and Christmas trees galore! It’s the best time of the year, and all we can ask for is MORE MORE MORE! More time with our families, more time reminiscing and enjoying, and more time seeing our favorite shows right here at the Financial Theatre! Today on December the 14th at 1pm and 5pm, be prepared to get whisked away at the ballet while we sing and hum our favorite tunes from the night into the day right here at the Arizona Grand Palais - oop! We mean the Financial Theatre! As our seventeenth year of hosting your Nutcracker dreamscapes every December year in and year out, The Phoenix Ballet, our choreographer Slawomir Wozniak, and The Master Ballet Academy are thrilled to welcome you once again here in our NEW home for you all once again.

The Nutcracker is the beloved story created in 1892 by Pyotr Tchaikovsky centered around a Christmas Eve story of a lifelike reimagined Nutcracker Doll. Known for its dramatic two acts and breathtaking storytelling through dance - since the play first premiered in Russia at the turn of the 20th century, it has been hailed as one of the best ballets to ever be composed. The story has been redone by ballet companies all over the world - including our very own Masters at the Phoenix Ballet. The production blends the elegance of Phoenix Ballet’s professional dancers with the youthful energy of Master Ballet Academy students, filling the stage with heart, precision, and wonder. With dazzling costumes, snowfall effects, and Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, this year’s expanded production promises to be grander than ever — a feast for the eyes and spirit alike. Whether it’s your first Nutcracker or your fifteenth, this year’s show invites audiences of all ages to rediscover the beauty, nostalgia, and pure magic that define the season’s most cherished ballet moments we will be talking about for years to come - and inspiring the next generation with, too!
