Arizona Financial Theatre
Phoenix! Arizona Financial! We’re so happy to be here with you right now… though we all know we’re dreaming of when we’re back in Chicago, or at least the next pair of acts is. And I mean we don’t blame them, we’ve seen Stranger Things here before in ‘Zona and we know how all the midwesterners feel about their clandestine buildings and flat roads. But no matter! We’re beginning to Cave In and see their side of the argument. And, I'm sure when DJO and Post Animals take the stage, we’ll be hanging on to their Last Goodbye for months to come.
“DJO?! WHO is this guy I keep hearing about all over the place?!” - DJO is the musical side quest of actor Joe Keery, aka Steve Harrington from Stranger Things - and he’s like, really really good. Not only is he an international superstar in the acting world, but he also sings?! Our hearts can’t take it anymore!
His Another Bite Tour will be hitting our very own Financial Theatre this October 15th for all of us who want to see the next legend in his next era. Tickets are going for $164 - and the show includes an opening performance from Post Animal. You just can’t miss this one - or you’ll never get over the FOMO, and we honestly wouldn’t blame you. Grab your tickets today, and let’s enjoy the show!
Arizona Financial Theatre is the premier venue of Phoenix and one of the best places to catch live music in the state and all over the west coast. Located right in the heart of our city, we know that the legends hit The Financial Theatre when they come to town - and the same goes for Djo as he takes his 2025 Another Bite Tour right here to the city. And with Post Animal coming out first to warm up the stage - we just know this is going to be one of those once in a lifetime shows that we may never forget. And with this being Joe’s first show here at the Theatre - we gotta show him a good time! So study up and read more below!
Born in Massachusetts but a product of Chicago, Joe Keery went to school for acting in the city and began his career doing ads for different American chains and brands. When he was hired for a then unproduced show called Stranger Things in 2015, he rose to prominent stardom and became a recurring actor in the show. He earned international actor prestige as a musician on the world scale - but he was already known for his music career as well across the country. After his debut album with Post Animal was released in 2015, they went on to make two albums with each other before Joe left to do his own thing - but the band still performs together and plays today - including as openers for Keery all year long for their joint tour.
Speaking with NME magazine, Joe tells it all about his new album - and how he feels about being on to the next thing now that Stranger Things is over. “I’ve had a couple people ask, ‘Do you love nostalgia?’ And it’s like, not really,” Keery says. “I’m not trying to live in the past. I have new memories that I’m linking to [Chicago]. I’m not 27 anymore. That’s a part of me, maybe, but not the whole part,”. “It felt like [the disguise] went against the core of what this process has been all about, which is trying to strip away things that are interfering with being honest.”
Looks like Keery is ready to strip it all back and let us know what he’s really made of! And we’re so here for it - and we know you will be too! So - grab your tickets today, RIGHT NOW, and we’ll see you soon! Right here in Arizona Financial Theatre!
