Christian music has in Josiah Queen its new rising star. This Mt. Zion Tour is here to prove that. Josiah has been able to do something that seemed impossible even just a few years ago, and that is to get a purely worship music track to rank among the top 30 on a rock list! That's a bit of an indictment on contemporary rock, but we won't travel that road. In all seriousness, it also shows this generation's true ache for God. We're all lucky to have a chance to experience the present and future of worship music as Josiah Queen takes the stage at the Arizona Financial Theatre on Friday, April 10th.
Even though the Mt. Zion album has some new tracks that are already doing decent numbers, "The Prodigal" is still the song that most people want to hear from Josiah Queen. Not to provide any spoilers or high expectations, if you will, but you gotta believe that's going to be a special moment at this event. His song with TobyMac, "Jesus Freak," will likely also make the setlist. Then there's "Can Steal My Joy," which he worked on with Bradon Lake. This one's from the latest album, so you can go ahead and pencil it in as a lock!
If you know that you're going to be on your feet the entire time and putting those hands up in worship, then finding a spot in the pit area could be ideal.
