"We are excited to bring you new music, an entirely new set list, and a new experience to bring it back to where it all began," said lead singer & guitarist Micah Oueschel in a press release. "With our new album on the horizon, we have more surprises for 2026 in store for everyone. We can’t wait for next summer with our longtime friends Tribal Seeds as support on most dates. Get ready for our best year yet!"
It all began in Isla Vista - a community right across UC Santa Barbara, where they played covers of reggae tracks. In 2006, they recorded their first EP "New Roots", and gained a reputation for their live performances. Being able to capture the attention of local crowds, they regularly performed and rocked out as they grew bigger and bigger. By 2007, their first LP "No Time for Rest" came out and topped the Reggae Albums chart. From then on, they kept the fire burning and released records that consistently hit the Billboard charts, cementing their name as one of the hottest artists in reggae music.
Later on, with their 2023 album "Daytrippin'", the band shared how they're returning to their roots, balancing modern production with traditional techniques that create music made for the stage. With reggae and rock influences, it's definitely a standout album in their discography. With a new tour coming up, named "Where It All Began", they definitely signal an era that pays tribute to their roots, going back to the start. You can expect songs crafted for community, intimate shows, and reggae energies straight from their hearts.
"Daytrippin is a return to our roots. We set out to strike a balance between polished studio production and the electrifying energy of a live show," Pueschel shared about the record on social media.
