No folks - it’s NOT every day that we get to party with the best of them, ORRRR that we get to experience the newest wave of oldies that blow our minds here for all of our pleasure and praise - but TRUST us folks, today is a special day! That’s ‘cause right here on Sunday, April 12th, 2026, the gods of synth, satire, and straight-up punk rock chaos are rolling into town - and we gotta see it if you’re into anything REMOTELY close to Smart Patrol and Beautiful Worlds. DEVO - yep, that Devo from your mom’s old CDs you used to play when you took her car on the weekend - is taking over Arizona Financial Theatre, and if you think this is just another nostalgia lap… think again. The boys are back on stage to celebrate a new era of their sound sixty years into the game - and quite frankly, we’re just happy to be here along for the ride! ‘Cause once the boys are gone, they’re GONE! Hitting stages in Indio Reno and Wheatland CA too - NO other place gets TWO nights of the crew, except us - what a treat for me and you! So get your muscles ready and limber up - our full body punk-cardio workout is on the horizon. 

So let’s be real for a second - who DOESN’T know Devo? If this is your first time hearing the crew again and you aren’t sure who they are, well listen up - we got a show to get to after all. Even if you think you don’t, you absolutely do. They’re the Akron, Ohio art-punk brain trust that showed up in the early ‘70s and decided rock music needed to be smarter, stranger, and way more sarcastic. Founded by Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald Casale, Devo was a concept of “De-evolution” that went right - turned into a band, you know the whole story after that. The idea that society wasn’t getting better… it was getting weirder. And honestly? They might’ve been onto something.

Fast forward a bit and boom - their song “Whip It” explodes in 1980, becoming one of the most iconic songs and music videos of the MTV era. But if you stop there, you’re missing the point. Devo gave us “Uncontrollable Urge,” “Girl U Want,” “Freedom of Choice,” “Beautiful World,” and a catalog that influenced everyone from Nine Inch Nails to LCD Soundsystem to every alt-weirdo you love today. Synths that punch. Guitars that twitch. Lyrics that sound funny until they hit a little too close to home. Live? Their sound is amazing - like a planned chaos with a little break beat in it. And the visuals too - chef’s kiss! And THAT folks is why you can’t miss this.
