BoyWithUke is a name to remember! First known for his tiktok social media presence and his Fascinating LED mask. Posting a series called “Minute Long Songs” which gained popularity in 2021. He then released “Faded” and “Toxic” in September of 2021, these songs became viral and were streamed over half a billion times. “Toxic” then reached number one on the Billboards Alternative Airplay Charts.
Throughout 2022 Charley Yang opened for the indie-pop trio AJR. He then released his fourth album titled “Lucid Dreams” in October 2023. The song “toxic” received great reviews including RIAA Platinum awards and BPI Silver as well as a BVMI Gold award. It was one of the most streamed songs of 2022 and 2023.
In 2024 he released the album “Burnout”. In his Music video for “Homesick” he revealed his face. Two days later he shared an Instagram post as a face and name reveal and stated that the mask started off by giving him the confidence to post his music, but he says that it is now negatively affecting his mental health.
